Historical Events
Armourdale was incorporated as a city in 1882. The name comes from the Armour meatpacking plant in the area. The district was affected by the Kansas City flood in 1903 and again in 1951. The community lost around 50 million dollars that year. However, there was no damage during the 1993 flood as the new floodwalls protected Armourdale from water.

The Bridges
